Good Afternoon Everyone,
This is one of the most difficult posts that I had to make to our website in a while. But I want to educate some of our members that are facing furlough. It has been many years that our company has had to furlough employees. With the entire railroad industry in recession; I want to refresh everybody on the resources that are available.
The Railroad Retirement Board administers the unemployment benefits for all railroaders. There is forms at the link below that you can print and send in. Their phone number is (877) 772-5772. Their office is located in the US Courthouse in Downtown Spokane at W. 920 Riverside Ave., Suite 492B, Spokane, WA.
Sadly, we don’t know where this is going to end.
